Craigmillar Book Festival 2014

on in News

Chhildren and teenagers across Craigmillar are sharpening their pencils, ready for the 18th Craigmillar Book Festival which starts on Monday 17 November, tying in with Book Week Scotland.  Creativity is the theme of the festival and everyone will get a chance to create their own stories and illustrations, inspired by the great line-up of visiting writers, storytellers and illustrators.    Nick Sharratt, Lari Don, Jonathan Meres, Metaphrog, Alison Murray, Janis MacKay, Ruth Kirkpatrick and Eric Brennan will be appearing at Craigmillar Library and schools and nurseries across Craigmillar to share their top tips on how everyone can develop their own stories.

The Festival runs from Monday 17 to Friday 29 November and has been made possible with generous support from Scottish Book Trust, Dr David Summers Charitable Trust, The Rosamunde Pilcher Charitable Trust, Siobhan Dowd Trust, Prestonfield House, Sir James Miller [ Edinburgh] Trust, The Edinburgh Bookshop and the Big Lottery.
