Craigmillar Literacy Trust – Creating and Learning Together Project

Literacy Programme Co-ordinator – Part Time (initial fixed term contract for 6 months with possible extension)

Hours: 18 hours a week

Salary: £ 21459 - £26892 pro-rata

Craigmillar Literacy Trust promotes literacy and reading for all in Craigmillar through the Craigmillar Books for Babies project and the annual Craigmillar Book Festival.  The Creating and Learning Together project is developing year round reading, writing and learning opportunities in Craigmillar, through programmes and events for children aged 4+, young people and families, working closely with partners.

The Literacy Programme Coordinator will have direct responsibility for planning and delivering the project including the Craigmillar Book Festival, Creative Residencies, My Own Book scheme and related activities. Relevant experience and excellent skills in working directly with children and young people are essential. You will have good planning and implementation abilities, be self-motivated and able to work well as part of a team and with partners. You will also have skills in evaluating programmes and making funding applications.
